WINDSOR PLYWOOD

Lighting Design & Install

Assessment.

Issue 1: The store already had failing high output fluorescent tubes. A typical lifespan for these tubes are 3 years, until they reach a lighting level that is too dim, compared to its original brightness

Issue 2: The lighting was casting a lot of unwanted shadows at its work stations. This happens when you have 1 strong light source, instead of equal lightings shining from different directions.

Issue 3: Clearance of the original fixtures was not high enough for its long 16-18 feet plywood in the store. When the lighting source is not strong enough, they had to lower the fixture in order to get enough lights.

Lighting Simulation.

The 3D simulation was used to provide a fair and accurate lighting plan, so that we do not over-estimate or under-estimate the budget.

We also ran through multiple configurations to ensure that we choose the ideal fixture for this specific application.

LED Fixture Proposal.

After assessing all scenarios, we then presented the actual industrial LED fixtures to our client, so that there is no surprises.

In this case, there is a lot of wood processing in this warehouse. As a result, we recommended a LED fixture that is certified with waterproof and dust-proof (IP65) and certified for wood-processing facility (D-Mark). These extra certifications played an important role in making sure the light will be maintenance free for the years to come.

Project Management.

All of our lighting installations were managed by designated project management professionals and installed by fully licensed electricians.

During the install, our lighting professional also constantly monitored the progress and make adjustments in real time to ensure that the lighting performance was optimal.

Follow Up.

The project was not done after the installation was finished. We followed up with the managers to assess the energy usage and see if there was any further room for improvement.

In this case, in the room where there was a direct switch of old fixture to our new LED fixture, a 50% energy saving was achieved, while exceeding the original lighting output.

Warranty & Support.

We also provided a 5 year warranty on this project. If anything fails, we immediately provide replacement from our local inventory so that our client would have minimal down time.

The Dream Team.

Dale from Trademaster Electric, who has decades of experience in BC lower mainland, leads our team of electricians to ensure everything is installed properly, following the safety code.

The entire project is managed by our Professional Project Manager, Ray, and our LED lighting design consultant, Wayne.
